New Yorkers don't have a lot of space and can't just wander out into their backyard for some sunlight. Most go to parks instead, but if you are lucky enough to live on the top floor of your apartment block, sometime you can set up a little garden on your roof.
These are a few of the rooftop gardens I can see from my window.
